Microcrystalline corundum is obtained by using bauxite as the main raw material, smelting at high temperature, and quenching by crystallization. The color and chemical composition are similar to those of brown fused alumina. The crystal has small size, high toughness and good self-sharpness. Grinding tools made of it are suitable for heavy-duty grinding, profile grinding, plunge grinding and rough grinding. Also suitable for grinding of stainless steel, carbon steel, bearing steel and special ductile iron. Uses: Corundum is mainly used in abrasives, medium and high grade refractories, ceramics, coatings, glass furnaces.
